Newest Franchise Location – Now Open In South Surrey!

Our newest restaurant franchise opened in South Surrey to a packed restaurant full of customers.

A much anticipated opening had customers peeking into windows weeks before the opening to estimate when they would be able to enjoy their favorite order of fish and chips. This crowd of new customers was a welcome surprise to loyal C-Lovers’ customers, Sean and Argyro Holmes. Why A C-Lovers Franchise?

Why did you become franchisees?

We decided to become franchisees to become self-employed and align ourselves with a reputable franchisor. It was very important to us work with the franchisor to select our site and build out our location. We spent a lot of time investigating franchises and liked how we were treated by the C-Lovers team.

How did you learn about your franchise and what made you choose it?

We had been C-Lovers customers for years. We heard about C-Lovers Fish & Chips Franchising opportunities through various media channels and started investigating seriously when we met the franchising representatives for C-Lovers Franchise Canada at a franchise show.

What do you love most about being a franchisee?

Being in business, working with the public and making our own decisions, which will shape our future. We love the fact that it is a local franchisor head office. They provide a lot of support and are only a phone call away. We can also pick up the phone and tap into the experience of other franchisees. As an independent business owner, you simply don’t have the support and resources. Instead you are left to learn through trial and error.

What are your top three tips for success?

Our tops 3 tips for success are:

  1. Be prepared to work hard, especially during the start up. There is a lot to do when opening a new restaurant!
  2. Create open communication with the franchisor. We rely on their experience to help us make important start-up decisions.
  3. Prepare for the unexpected. Despite all your best efforts, things don’t always go as planned. We always felt supported and it was great to have the C-Lovers Franchise Team helping us every step of the way.

What are sales like your first few months in business?

We are very happy with the way things have been going. We didn’t anticipate to have this much success so soon!
